   PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), which does not have a CE marking

We expressly point out that personal protective equipment, in accordance with § 1 para 5 no. 1 of the eighth Ordinance of the Equipment and Product Safety Act (Ordinance on the marketing of personal protective equipment) does not fall under the mandatory CE marking, and may not be sold to the end user but exclusively to the authorities of the armed forces, civil defense, police forces of the federal and state governments and other institutions that serve public safety (eg emergency services in the public service) and public order, and their dependents. The submission of an above-designated product to a consumer is connected with substantial penalties. We do not assume any liability. The trader is commited to get a prove of the membership of the above authorities on the particular end user before dispensing the product, or in case of resale to another retailer to undertake this to also get a prove of the membership of the above authorities or their dependents.
